The Institution of Engineers (India) is the largest professional body of Engineers & Technologists in the country. The Institution was established in 1920 and was granted the Royal Charter in 1935. The aim of the institution is to promote the practice of science and the arts in all parts of the country. There are 99 states and local centers of the institution spread all over the country and 5 chapters abroad.

Chhattisgarh State Centre of the Institution of Engineers was started as a local centre in 1985 and was upgraded in 2003 as STATE CENTRE, after formation of new state Chhattisgarh, thus it became a full fledged state centre.

In order to accelerate the professional development work, the Chhattisgarh State Centre, Raipur is trying to form a core group of such Engineers who are having long experience in their field of engineering and some expertise in some particular area and can spare some time to share their knowledge and experience for the betterment of the society in general and for young engineers in particular.

We may organize technical talks of such experienced engineers in Engineering/ Polytechnic colleges to make the engineering students conversant with the actual work in the field. This will facilitate them to understand their own subject in better way.

Chhattisgarh State Centre, Raipur therefore invites consent along with the topics of their field of their expertise from the engineers who can share their knowledge and experience at an earliest so that implementation work can be taken up.
