1. Membership Growth

The Institution of Engineers (India) has decided to observe year 2008 as “Membership Year” and special one time concession has been given in membership fee for new applicants for Graduate, AMIE, MIE and FIE as detailed below for the period up to 31st march 2009.

The special rates are one time concession and are applicable only for new applicant of different grades and are not applicable for up gradation of membership.

 

2. Technical Activities

In order to improve interaction between academic institution, field and industries, the Chhattisgarh State Centre, Institution of Engineers contacted number of field engineers and engineers in industries who have vast experience in their field and can spare time and can share their technical knowledge and experience amongst students of engineering colleges and polytechnics, by way of technical talk, so that the students can gain practical and professional field knowledge.

3. The president Initiative

To aim at building up the strength and image of Institution Shri R.P. Gupta, President, IEI has initiated the following moves-

 

    • Quantum jump in membership and improvement in services.
    • Quantum jump in the numbers of candidate qualifying as Engineers through the educational system of Institution.
    • Enrolling Students in engineering colleges with a view to making them corporate members eventually.
    • Bringing into the institutions fold eminent engineering personalities and captains of industry.
